Raju Srivastav obtained his material from the life of a common man. He uses irony, ridicule, or exaggeration to expose human stupidity and vices in his comedy. Raju also adds a lot of physical humor to his perform his acts. He can perform actions on some physical objects like a light bulb, a train, and some other roles such as a dog, a drunkard, or a Bhai. Analysis on “Kapil Sharma vs Raju Shrivastava- Why Raju Srivastava was better than Kapil Sharma??”
1. Movies: Raju Srivastava VS Kapil Sharma
His humorous story with day-to-day life can connect everyone. I am saying it as a story because actually, it is a story. I like to see comedy in a pattern of the story. Also, let us not forget that Raju was a great actor also and played a very good role in some movies
such as Bombay to Goa, Bhavnao Ko Samjho, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Big Brother, Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon, Waah! Tera Kya Kehna, Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiyaa, Mr. Azaad, Baazigar, Maine Pyaar Kiya, Tezaab. we could feel the character in his eyes. His act always slowly picked up but in the end, was extremely hilarious and amazing.
Kapil sharma don’t have enough movies to compare with Raju
2. Content Type: Raju Srivastava VS Kapil Sharma
Kapil Sharma, on the other hand, is not deep as far as his content is concerned. He is more in the face; superficial. He generates laughs with his quick wit and one-liners punches. It’s all about his spontaneity.
Unlike Raju, he mocks a particular human, not a human quality. He doesn’t need to be deep, and we don’t need understanding. But he’s intelligent. He acknowledged the importance and pull of show biz, and was successful in cashing in on it. That’s what makes him unique.
3. Content Quality: Raju Srivastava VS Kapil Sharma
Raju epitomizes stand-up in the truest sense. Kapil is the quintessential showman, who has redefined comedy. He’s style, Raju’s substance. When Kapil says (to a celebrity), “Aapne itne films kiye. You’re a successful actor. Kabhi aapne socha tha ki aap Comedy Nights with Kapil pe aayenge?“, it sure sounds hilarious because the celebrity is bound to react.
But its impact remains only in the moment. We forget it until we hear it the next time. But when Raju says, “Draupadi ka cheer Dushassan ki jagah Kumbhkaran khichenga to tere baap ka kya jayenga?!?” with a tapori accent, it’s not just hilarious, it remains etched in the memory forever. It’s timeless. That’s where Raju edges out Kapil.
3. Creativity: Raju Srivastava VS Kapil Sharma
Raju is more creative whereas Kapil is a more successful comedian in India. Kapil might be more popular at the moment, but Raju’s the Father and master of stand-up comedy. Observational humor outclasses one-liners, all day every day. Without Gajodhar, there would be no Lalaji/Chintu.
As we can see Kapil Sharma mostly insults others to create his comedy which actually irritates and many think this is real comedy. I have watched almost every act of Raju and Kapil Sharma. But I have seen many times Kapil Sharma copying some content from Rajus’s most famous acts presented in the Laughter challenge TV Programs.
Let’s take e.g. of Comedy nights with Kapil. Many of us might have observed this pattern. He starts the show with some funny incident that happened on some day then ask the audience about their experience with a similar incident and insults them on their answer (One liner!!). Then dadi comes with her ridiculous jokes about alcohol.
He again insults her dadi with ‘Buchanan’. Then comes his servant irritates with the same thing Kapil doesn’t have money to pay his salary and there is no glossary in the kitchen. Now bua enters with her perverted nature and Kapil insults her as well (huh tried typing insult !!). If there is any film releasing on next week then some celebrity comes for promotion & then Palak/Bhola come to get insulted them self.. And many love this show and quote it as the best show ever
4. Logic and Uniqueness: Kapil Sharma vs Raju Shrivastava
Raju Shrivastav is 100 times better than Kapil. Kapil Sharma sounds boring so many times with nonsense talk, insulting people, saying anything without any logic, and trying to make punch on anything and on the other side Raju does comedy Naturally and with logic. and most importantly we can See Raju Shrivastava’s comedy act with whole family members. compares to Kapil ….who creat punch by vulgar things. .and many times. Due to nonsense comments.

Conclusion
Both of them comedians are excellent in their own leagues and nature. While Raju Srivastav does mostly prepared and pre-rehearsed stage acts, Kapil is more towards spontaneous on-the-spot comedy through his quick wit and humor.
Raju’s talent lies in his extremely observant nature which scans the world he lives in and brings out the trivial details with so much humor and can connect a common men’s life.
Though Kapil has also developed a few fictional characters of his own which are extremely funny, he doesn’t delve that much into the depths of the common-man ways of fun as good as Raju does. Where he excels and Raju lacks, is quick-witted humor and spontaneous one-liners which are so rib-tickling that one can die laughing.
I remember Sidhu saying in some interviews that while Raju was famous, he was all over the television and people had almost enough of him. Kapil on the other hand dedicates himself to one show at a time which leaves people hungry for more.
Also, this is 100% true that Raju Srivastav doesn’t have much of new acts left in his arsenal. We can see him repeating most of his older acts in his new shows. on the other hand, Kapil does a new act every time. Read all about the Raju Shrivastava on Wikipedia.
